Ubisoft, together with Lucasfilm Games, announced the launch date of Star Wars Outlaws, the first open-world Star Wars game. The official trailer is available, as well as new details.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Amazon Luna, and PC in Ubisoft Connect, with a recommended retail price of $69.99 for the base game.
Subscribers to Ubisoft+, as well as owners of Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition, will receive early access for three days. Those who pre-order before August 30 will receive the Bonus Pack Kessel Runner, which includes skins for the character Kae's speeder and her ship, Trailblazer.
Ubisoft details the storyline of Star Wars Outlaws, focusing on the "clever scoundrel" Kae Vess and her companion Nix, who are looking for opportunities in life.
"In this era, the Empire's rule distracts attention from the continuing rebellion, leading to a golden age of the criminal world. Kae's antics as an experienced thief attract the attention of Slido, the leader of the new criminal syndicate Zerek Besh. After Slido announces a reward for Kae's head, she is offered the only chance for freedom—to carry out one of the greatest heists of all time. Kae and Nix must navigate the galactic underworld, building their reputation among legendary criminal organizations: the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan, and the Crimson Dawn, in order to gain the support needed to complete the mission."
Kae and Nix will travel across the galaxy to obtain the necessary resources and team for the final heist. They will travel to various locations, both iconic and new: Cantonica, Kijimi, Tatooine, Akiva, and the Toshara Savannah. Along the way, Kae will explore bustling cities, fly across expansive landscapes on her speeder, and pilot her ship through the depths of space. When things go wrong, the Trailblazer will also help them pursue, evade, and attack to gain an advantage in aerial battles with the Empire and other enemies.
