Cars with gasoline engines continue to be the most favored among Ukrainians, although their popularity is gradually declining.
Throughout October, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet welcomed 2.1 thousand new gasoline cars equipped with gasoline internal combustion engines. This figure is 19% lower compared to the same period last year.
Simultaneously, the share of gasoline cars in the overall sales of new passenger vehicles has decreased. In October 2023, they comprised 45% of the market for new cars, while in October 2024, this figure dropped to 36%.
The most popular new gasoline car in October was the compact crossover RENAULT Duster, which outperformed its closest competitor by twofold in sales. Ukrainian consumers predominantly purchase new gasoline crossovers.
