GSC Game World has released a video that allows you to listen to the radio from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. More specifically, these are three songs from the radio station that can be picked up at the "Rostok" location, belonging to the "Will" group in the game. These are not pop music - the tracks represent Ukrainian post-punk, electropop, and indie.
In chronological order, you can hear songs from the bands anastymoza ("Chrysanthemums"), DK Energetik ("East Street"), and The Unsleeping ("To Live"). It is still unknown what other compositions and genres will be presented in the game and how the radio repertoire will differ at different locations.
Developers described "Rostok" as follows: "A place for trade, rest, and relative safety for stalkers from all over the Zone. And now, also the territory of Will! The bar and the Arena are operating as usual, the only thing that is free here is the view. Before a sortie, it would be nice to relax, listen to some music. A piece of provision, the morning sun, and the echo of the Big Land in your ears. The Zone is not always about movement, struggle, and survival. Sometimes It is felt in melodies, reflections, in the taste of what lies ahead, in the next journey".
In the description of the video, GSC Game World provided links to the Instagram profiles of the performers, as well as to the songs themselves. They can be listened to separately on Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube.
The video also contains other interesting details that add Ukrainian cultural identity to the game: a bottle of "Cossacks" vodka with remnants of the excise stamp, "Mriya" cigarettes, a box of matches with a familiar design, inscriptions "Flammable" and "Oxygen". The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which has been repeatedly postponed, will take place on September 5.
