BioWare, the developer studio of the game Dragon Age: The Veilguard, has created a detailed character editor and added numerous options for customizing the gameplay. All this is to make the game as inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of abilities and preferences.

Among the difficulty options, there is a "Storyteller" mode for those more interested in the plot than in battles, an "Adventurer" mode for a balance between story and combat, and the most difficult level "Nightmare." Players can change the difficulty at any time during the game, except for the "Nightmare" mode.

A special attention is drawn to the "Unbound" option, which allows players to fully customize the gameplay. It is possible to adjust navigation assistance, auto-targeting, time for blocking attacks, the amount of damage received and dealt, and even enable a deathless mode.

Corrinne Bush, the game director, noted that none of these options are cheats but rather a way to make the game accessible to all players, regardless of their abilities. The game will also feature other options to enhance accessibility and convenience.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard (previously known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf) is a continuation of the cult role-playing franchise Dragon Age from Electronic Arts and BioWare. Players can expect new lands, heroes, and enemies. Every choice in the branching storyline will have a significance and impact on events. The main goal is to assemble a team of heroes and save the world from a threat hidden behind the mysterious Veil.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released this fall on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. In mid-June, BioWare held a 20-minute gameplay demonstration of the game.

While BioWare is trying to make Dragon Age: The Veilguard accessible to everyone, the From Software studio took a different approach. Recently, streamer Kai Senate, disappointed with the difficulty of the final boss in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, invited a psychologist to help him cope with his emotions during the live stream. After 60 hours of battling the boss in the game, Senate needed professional help to complete the passage.
