RoboCop apprehends a criminal. The armed suspect barricaded himself in a motel and fired upon the police robot. Despite this, the machine was able to knock him down and arrest him.
The video shows the robot approaching the window to deploy tear gas inside the room, while the suspect exits through the door, attempting to throw a sheet over it. In subsequent frames, the robot tries to pull back the curtain, while the man climbs through the window.
It appears he is affected by the gas and collapses on the floor outside the window, trying to wipe his eyes. The robot disregards the window, takes the suspect down to the ground, and holds him there.
Felix De La Rosa, 39, was wanted by the Lubbock police in Texas, USA, on suspicion of robbery and violating parole conditions. Prior to the incident with the robot, he had fired at officers. After a failed attempt to resist, he was taken into custody by a tactical unit. Medical assistance was provided to the man before he was arrested.
