The iPhone 16 Pro is described as "one of the most unfinished products that Apple has ever delivered". Nearly all major features (especially for Apple Intelligence) will only appear in future software updates stretching into the next year.
“By then, the iPhone 16 Pro we are reviewing is mostly a collection of very nice, yet ultimately insignificant changes to the iPhone 15 Pro,” the review adds.
Overall, all new Apple iPhone 16 smartphones received a score of 8 from reviewers at The Verge. Among the main advantages were highlighted the new cameras with varied styles, while the shooting button “isn't as straightforward”— it’s allegedly not very user-friendly, though it may just take some getting used to with the update. The standard models also have 8 GB of RAM (thanks to AI!), so the difference with the Pro versions is in their sizes, cameras (and of course, the display refresh rate, which remains modest at 60 Hz for the lower-priced models)
