The Google Gemini chatbot has gained the ability to remember specific details about users, such as their interests and personal preferences. This feature is being rolled out for subscribers who have access to Gemini Advanced. It will allow the AI chatbot to tailor its responses to suit your needs and characteristics.
As noted by Google, you can share your interests, as well as information about your work, hobbies, or life goals while interacting with Gemini. Additionally, you can enter relevant details about yourself on the bot's "Saved Information" page, for example, indicating that you are only interested in vegetarian recipes or that you work as an accountant.
Rolling out starting today, you can ask Gemini Advanced to remember your interests and preferences for more helpful, relevant responses. Easily view, edit, or delete any information you've shared, and see when it's used.

On the "Saved Information" page, you can also view, edit, or delete data collected by Gemini. The AI will indicate when it is using your information in its responses. Access to Gemini Advanced is provided through a Google One AI Premium subscription, and currently, the feature is available only in English.
OpenAI introduced the Memory feature for ChatGPT Plus subscribers in April. Similar to Gemini, ChatGPT can remember information you've mentioned in previous conversations, such as your favorite food or pets.
