In October, Ukrainians purchased nearly 5,700 vehicles equipped with diesel engines. This marks a 26% decline compared to the same period in 2023.
Out of the total, approximately 1,500 are new cars with diesel engines. Consequently, last month, diesel models accounted for 26% of the overall new passenger car market, up from 20% in October 2023. Compared to October of the previous year, their numbers increased by 31%.
Simultaneously, the share of used diesel vehicles imported from abroad stands at 74% — 4,200 units. This is a 36% decrease from October 2023. Among the imported used cars, diesel vehicles made up 25%, which is 5 percentage points lower than last year, while their average age is 10.5 years.

- PEUGEOT Landtrek — 145 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Touareg — 135 units;
- SKODA Kodiaq — 79 units;
- TOYOTA Hilux — 52 units.
TOP-5 imported used diesel vehicles:
- RENAULT Megane — 403 units;
- SKODA Octavia — 274 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Passat — 252 units;
- NISSAN Qashqai — 231 units;
- VOLKSWAGEN Golf — 157 units.
