Dark Horse Books has announced the release of the book "The Art of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl," which will unveil the development process of the highly anticipated game from GSC Game World.
Within the 208 pages of this hardcover book, readers will find developer comments, concept art, and other materials related to the creation of the game. The book will highlight the design elements of characters, creatures, items, and locations from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Evgeny Grigorovich, project lead and CEO of GSC Game World, shared his thoughts on the importance of atmosphere in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe:
“The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone has always been one of our primary sources of inspiration. We are pleased to have the opportunity not only to pay tribute to the artistic aspect of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 but also to convey to players the feeling of being in the Zone in a different way. I would say that this art book is a labor of love, stemming from our own project created with care, which makes it feel especially significant.”
The Art of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will retail for $49.99. The book will be available in bookstores on May 27, 2025, and in comic shops on May 28, 2025.
As a reminder, the release of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl" is scheduled for November 20. The game will be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and will also be accessible through Game Pass on launch day.
