Apple's ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will start at $1300 - insider

The upcoming iPhone 17 Air (Slim) could become Apple's most expensive smartphone, surpassing the price of the Pro models.

According to information released by insider Ice Universe, the starting price of the iPhone 17 Air will be $1300. Analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong International confirms this price and the specifications reported by a predecessor.

The future ultra-thin iPhone is set to feature a 3-nanometer A19 processor and 8 GB of RAM (while the Pro models may have 12 GB), enabling it to utilize Apple Intelligence features.

According to Pu, the iPhone 17 Air might even be lighter than the titanium iPhone 17 Pro models, as it will be made from aluminum. Additionally, the smartphone may sport a single 48 MP rear camera and a 25 MP front camera, a 6.7-inch display, and Face ID.

The analyst adds that the iPhone 17 Air will effectively replace the Plus model.
