Ubisoft: "You haven't completed this game. It was just a Jedi's dream."

On August 27, Ubisoft granted a three-day early access to the game Star Wars Outlaws for owners of the Ultimate and Gold editions. Within hours of the launch, the developers released a day-one patch, updating the game to version 1.000.0002. This new update introduced support for 40 frames per second and fixed numerous bugs. However, it also resulted in unexpected challenges for some players.

Ubisoft sent an email to PlayStation 5 users who had started the game before the patch was released. The company warned about potential issues and urged players to check for the latest version of the game.

"Start a new game to fully enjoy Star Wars Outlaws. Unfortunately, if you continue with an old save, you will encounter problems and obstacles in your gameplay," the developers noted.

This news sparked mixed reactions among players. Some users on Reddit reported that they had already spent 5–7 hours in the game. Now they will have to restart their progress to avoid future complications.

Interestingly, only PlayStation 5 users reported receiving the warning email. It seems that PC and Xbox owners did not face such issues.

Reminder: Recently, experts found that Star Wars Outlaws consumes over 20 GB of video memory at 4K.
