At the Xbox Showcase as part of the Summer Game Fest 2024, Microsoft showed the second trailer for the reboot of Fable by Playground Games. This time they announced a release window as 'under construction' - Fable will be released in 2025. Both companies are still revealing few details about the game

The new Fable, being developed by the studio behind the Forza Horizon series, was first announced back in 2020. It was then talked about as a "new beginning" for the fantasy RPG series. The reboot is the first major game in the series since Fable 3 in 2010.

In the new trailer, they showed a retired hero who claims to have been the greatest adventurer of Albion. He helps train the new main character of the future RPG. The video reveals hints about the gameplay.

“What does it mean to be a hero? In last year's trailer, this question was answered by Dave, a gardener who turned into a giant. This year we get a much darker image from Gemfry, played by British comedian Matt King. Gemfry once was Albion's greatest Hero, but those days of glory are long gone. In Fable, Gemfry will be forced to retire at a time when a mysterious figure from his past threatens the very existence of Albion,” - Xbox Wired.

Fable will be released on Xbox Series X|S, PC, on Steam, and on Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Game Studios have high hopes for the game.
