According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the upcoming iPhone SE will resemble the latest higher-priced iPhones and is expected to launch in early 2025.
Replacing the Home button with Touch ID, the iPhone SE will feature Face ID, as well as support for Apple Intelligence—this is significant not just for artificial intelligence but also indicates improved device performance (for instance, even the base models of the iPhone 16 have been equipped with 8 GB of RAM to facilitate Apple Intelligence).
Rumors suggest that the new iPhone SE will take design cues from the iPhone 14, featuring slimmer bezels at the top and bottom, as well as an OLED display instead of the traditional LCD.
Alongside the new SE models, Gurman notes that Apple will introduce 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air models with "internal enhancements" as well as new Magic Keyboards for both sizes, which will incorporate some features from the iPad Pro keyboard.
It is worth mentioning that Gurman had previously reported about an upcoming Apple event in October, where new Macs with M4 chips are expected to be unveiled (production is reportedly already underway).
