Currently, vivo is developing the new S20 smartphone. The S series is situated in the company's portfolio right after the flagship X family, making this a significant and intriguing release.
The vivo S20 will measure 7.19 mm in thickness, yet it will be equipped with a more powerful 6500 mAh battery. The phone weighs 185.5 g, making it both thinner and lighter than the S19, while offering a battery that is 500 mAh larger. This is undoubtedly an engineering achievement.
Additionally, the vivo S20 features a 6.67-inch touchscreen AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800x1260 pixels and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The device will offer options of 8, 12, or 16 GB of RAM, along with built-in storage variants of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB. Engineers have also included a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel additional rear camera, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera in the smartphone.
In comparison to the S19, the S20 has a slightly smaller display, the already mentioned larger battery, and reduced dimensions. Everything else seems to be identical. Considering that the S series is updated twice a year and the previous model S19 was released in May, there are not many changes prepared for this iteration.
