Despite the storm of criticism on the day of the release, the game Dragon's Dogma 2 steadily attracted the attention of players over the weekend and gradually received positive reviews. This allowed to set new records daily for the number of simultaneous players on Steam, and the user rating slightly recovered.
On Friday (the day of the release), Dragon's Dogma 2 broke Capcom's previous records for the number of simultaneous players on Steam, reaching 199,850 simultaneous players. In the evening, the threshold of 200,000 was crossed, but only slightly - up to 200,175 simultaneous users. On Saturday, the game set a new record - 227,103 simultaneous users, and on Sunday exceeded it with a new record value of 228,585 simultaneous players.
As players progressed through the game, they left new reviews, which were mostly positive. This helped to slightly raise the rating and cross the 50% mark of positive reviews (compared to 39% on the day of release). At the time of preparing the material, Dragon's Dogma 2 has "mixed" reviews. Out of 34.3 thousand reviews, 51% are positive reviews. The game is mostly praised for its interesting and thoughtful game world, good combat system, interaction with the environment, well-developed artificial intelligence, and the developers' attention to detail.
