Modder Lisu has recreated the official expansion of the first game The Witcher, "The Price of Neutrality," for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen.
The events of the DLC take place in 1232, when Geralt returns to Kaer Morhen for the winter. However, beneath the fortress, he encounters a camp of mercenaries pursuing Princess Deidre Ademeyn from Kaingorn. Deidre is said to bear the curse of the Black Sun and is an unexpected child of Eskel. The witchers must decide what to do with the girl.
The mod includes the entire storyline of The Price Of Neutrality: the main quest "Wolf," as well as two side missions, "Howl" and "Hungry as a Wolf." It was created using REDKit, without any AI tools. Voiceovers were taken from the original expansion.
"The Price of Neutrality" for The Witcher 3 can be downloaded from NexusMods. Completing the expansion takes about three hours. In addition to this, several major mods for The Witcher 3 of varying degrees of completion exist, such as Song of Wind or Tales of the Witcher. Furthermore, modders have restored several final scenes from the game, particularly lengthy and intriguing ones, as well as certain gameplay elements.
