Warhorse Studios has released a new video showcasing 25 minutes of gameplay from Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The developers highlighted key elements of the game, including a meticulously crafted environment, a variety of characters, and an interactive dialogue system.
The game's events take place in 1403 within the Holy Roman Empire. Players will once again take on the role of Henry from Skalitz.
The video showcases one quest where the player must find two individuals in a village that is just waking up. The developers retained the familiar dialogue system from the first installment, featuring various options such as "Persuasion." Interestingly, not all tasks will be pleasant; in one scenario, the protagonist is tasked with finding a corpse in a pile of manure.
The combat system has undergone changes: it now features four directions for strikes instead of five. In hand-to-hand combat, there are left, right, and two downward strikes. For weapon combat, there are overhead, downward, and side strikes. The direction of the strike affects the damage dealt, with head strikes being significantly more dangerous. Enemy shields can be destroyed during combat, adding tactical depth to encounters.
The developers focused on realism: after "bathing" in filth, the hero will need to clean up, as looking dirty can repel other characters. The game world reacts dynamically to player actions: killing an NPC may lead to an encounter with his distraught wife, while being too pushy in trade may anger a merchant.
The game offers various random events that enrich the exploration of the medieval world. The improved character menu interface is less cluttered and more user-friendly. The game world is filled with locations to discover, including ruins where treasures and intriguing artifacts can be found.
For successful stealth gameplay, players will need to consider their clothing, as clanking armor can hinder discreet movement. Notably, the saving system has remained unchanged — players can save the game by consuming schnapps.

Daniel Vávra is a Czech video game creator, director, designer, and co-founder of Warhorse Studios.reported that the NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super graphics card can deliver 60 frames per second at 4K resolution with very high settings. The game will support NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR technologies from launch and will run on the CRYENGINE platform.
Deep Silver plans to release Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on PC in February 2025. The game will be available in the Epic Games Store and Steam. Exact system requirements have yet to be announced.
