Larian Studios revealed a unique method used by their developer, Elodie Chazelle, to create realistic animations. She stroked a pack of Oreo cookies with cream filling to mimic the movements of a character caressing the tentacle of a monster.

In the game, this scene unfolds with a character named the Emperor— an illithid who turns out to be a mysterious muse behind the protagonist's dreams. Players who choose to forgive his manipulations will have the option of intimate interactions with this being.

Larian Studios humorously emphasized that the biscuits "consented" to participate in the shoot. The official Baldur's Gate 3 social media account commented: "Some things are probably better left behind the scenes."
