Photoshop received the most updates, but significant changes also impacted Illustrator and Premiere Pro.

Adobe unveiled a range of new AI-powered features for its Creative Cloud applications during the annual Adobe Max conference.

Photoshop has been enhanced with a feature called Distraction Removal, which complements the existing Remove tool. This new feature automatically detects and removes distractions like people, wires, and cables with just one click. Users can now choose between using generative AI (based on the Adobe Firefly model) or non-generative AI when utilizing the Remove tool.

Adobe has upgraded the Firefly Image 3 model, which now works with Generative Fill, Generative Expand, Generate Similar, and Generate Background tools. The company claims the new version improves the diversity and photorealism of generated images and better comprehends complex requests.

Adobe Illustrator introduced a new feature called Objects on Path, allowing users to easily attach, arrange, and move objects along any contour shape. The Mockup tool for creating layouts on 3D models is now publicly available, while the Image Trace feature for converting raster images to vector graphics has received enhancements.

InDesign has gained the Generative Expand tool, which allows for image expansion to fit any layout. Premiere Pro has introduced a Generative Extend feature based on the new Firefly AI Video model.

Most of the new features are already available to users, but some, like Generative Extend in Premiere Pro, are currently in beta testing.
