The Security Service of Ukraine has apprehended a drone operator from one of the combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is engaged in the Kramatorsk direction.
It has been reported that a 22-year-old Ukrainian contract soldier was directing Russian artillery fire onto his own brigade during the battles for Chasiv Yar. According to the Security Service, the man was remotely recruited a year ago by a FSB officer - Dmitry Pavlovich Sorokoletov.
The detainee was "leaking" the locations of his unit's drone, which was aimed at correcting fire against the Russians attacking Chasiv Yar. This information was intended to be used for strikes on the positions of Ukrainian drone operators who were obstructing the enemy's advance toward the city.
The traitor also attempted to pass coordinates of other Ukrainian Armed Forces units concentrated in the area of Chasiv Yar to the FSB. According to the investigation, the man came to the attention of an agent because he posted pro-Russian and pro-Kremlin comments on Russian Telegram channels.
During searches, mobile phones containing evidence of his collaboration with the enemy were seized, and he was announced as a suspect in treason against the state, committed under martial law. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
