Huawei is set to commence sales of the new electric vehicle Luxeed S7, developed in collaboration with Changan Automobile.
The detailed specifications of the Luxeed S7 have not yet been released, but it is known to be built on the Huawei DriveONE platform, which was used in the previous model. This indicates an 800 V system and the option to choose between a single-motor and a dual-motor version. The all-wheel-drive variant boasts a total power of 489 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 3 seconds. The single-motor version delivers 288 horsepower and achieves 0 to 100 km/h in slightly more than 5 seconds.
The interior of the Huawei Luxeed S7 features a minimalist design. A large central touchscreen dominates the dashboard and serves as the control center for various vehicle functions, including navigation, entertainment, and climate control. The traditional instrument panel has been replaced with another screen, while key information is displayed on a head-up display (HUD) for drivers.
Huawei has collaborated on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for the S7. The vehicle is equipped with numerous sensors, cameras, radars, and an additional LiDAR sensor, enabling features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and automatic emergency braking. The Luxeed S7 is the first production car to feature HarmonyOS 4, the latest version of Huawei's operating system adapted for vehicles.
The Huawei Luxeed S7 is already available for pre-order in China, with deliveries expected in December. The starting price for the S7 Pro version is €30,900, while the S7 Max version starts at €34,700. The top-end S7 Ultra can be purchased for €40,900.
