Artificial intelligence is "taking over" printers, with HP devices leading the charge.
The new HP Print AI feature is available starting today in an "exclusive" beta version, offering a "perfect output" function that cleans up web page prints by removing unwanted elements such as advertisements or odd formatting (see below for before and after images).
The artificial intelligence also optimizes printing of spreadsheets and charts, ensuring they remain on a single page without splitting, and can respond to "conversational prompts." For example, with your instructions, the device can transform a photo into a greeting card by adding specific styles and fonts.
According to HP, the new Print AI features will be available in a public release sometime in 2025. However, the list of supported models has not yet been provided, nor has it been clarified whether additional software installations will be necessary.
Previously, HP launched a new subscription service that offers printers for rent (with a cap on the number of pages) and ink for a monthly fee of $36.
