Sony has announced a remaster of the popular game Horizon Zero Dawn for PlayStation 5 and PC. The developers promise players "stunning new graphics and enhanced features."
Rumors about a potential remaster of Horizon Zero Dawn started circulating back in 2022. Last week, several gaming publications noted the ESRB rating for the updated version on PS5 and PC, confirming those speculations.
Originally released in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn tells the story of Aloy, a hunter living in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by mechanical creatures. Players must defeat enemies using a bow, spear, and stealth tactics.
In 2020, Sony released Horizon Zero Dawn on PC, followed by an update in 2021 that unlocked frame rates up to 60 FPS on PS5. The remaster is expected to offer even better graphics on the upcoming PS5 Pro, which is set to launch in November.
The updated version of Horizon Zero Dawn will be available on October 31, 2024. Owners of the original game on PlayStation or PC will have the option to upgrade to the remaster for $9.99, while new players will need to pay $49.99.
