Signal users are familiar with the issue of creating group chats solely for group calls, but that is now in the past. You can now generate a call link, allowing up to 50 people to join in just a few seconds. The days of selecting contacts one by one are over.
All you need to do now is create a link for the call in the Calls tab and send it to those you wish to invite. The link is reusable, which is convenient if you have a set time for calls. Participants can raise their hands and send emojis. Hosts can configure the room so that new participants require approval to join the conversation.
Signal notes that the new group calling experience is quite similar to Zoom. For those who value privacy but still want the ability to make conference calls, this new update may prove beneficial. Like Zoom, the desktop version offers more features.
New features in Signal are available on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. If they are not currently accessible, it's a good idea to update your Signal app.
