A couple from California has been attempting to regain their membership in an exclusive Disneyland club for seven years, spending substantial amounts of money in the process.

Disneyland features a private club for a select few, known only to some visitors. Club 33 opened its doors in 1967, envisioned by Walt Disney as a venue for hosting important guests and sponsors.

Scott and Diana Anderson lost their membership in this elite establishment in 2017 due to a breach of rules. Since then, the couple has spent over $400,000 on legal fees in an effort to regain their lost status.

The couple denies violating club rules. According to security, Scott was removed due to intoxication—he could barely stand and struggled to speak clearly. Diana had previously faced temporary suspension for using inappropriate language.

The LA Times reported that Diana is even willing to "sell a kidney" just to be a member of Club 33 again. Such devotion has elicited mixed reactions on social media, with users calling the situation "the darkest thing" they've heard all week.

Before their expulsion from the club, the Andersons visited Disneyland 60-80 times a year, spending around $125,000 annually. One Club 33 visitor shared that a meal for two adults and three children, excluding alcohol, cost $600.

Despite losing in court, the couple has no plans to give up. Disney has yet to comment on this situation and the Andersons' lawsuit regarding Club 33.
