Ozzy Osbourne announced that he does not want to know the rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) after he was denied permission to use a sample of Black Sabbath's music and still used it. Ozzy did not allow Kanye to use the music because of his antisemitism.
As reported by Billboard, Ye hosted a listening party at the United Center in Chicago dedicated to the release of his single with Ty Dolla $ign featuring his 10-year-old daughter North. Ye intended to release the album Vultures the next day, however, at the time of publication, the project had not appeared on any streaming service.
"Kanye West asked for permission to sample a vocal-free excerpt from the live performance of 'Iron Man' from 1983 at a festival in the US and was denied, because he is antisemitic and has caused harm to many. He still used the sample at his album listening party. I do not want to have any associations with this person!"
In December of last year, Ye apologized in Hebrew to the Jewish community for "any inadvertent splash caused by my words or actions."
"I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unintended splash caused by my words or actions, I did not intend to cause pain or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I intend to correct the guilt and promote unity."
Among the companies that cut ties with the rapper are Adidas, Gap, CAA, MRC, and Peloton. At that time, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram blocked Ye's accounts, statements were made to boycott the rapper. Previously, Kanye West made antisemitic comments in various interviews, some of which were taken off air due to the use of "hate speech."
Last year, in an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ye voiced an antisemitic conspiracy theory and a conspiracy theory about the murder of George Floyd. In December 2022, in an interview with Alex Jones, the rapper referred to antisemitic stereotypes, made antisemitic jokes, and praised Hitler, stating that he saw "good things about Hitler" and that the Nazis "also did good things."
It is worth mentioning that the well-known musician and former lead vocalist of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, has health problems, which have forced him to cancel his own concerts. He dreams of holding one last big show for his fans.
