Players will take on the role of one of four characters: V, Judy, Panam, or Jackie. The tabletop version's storyline offers an alternate history of these heroes, divided into 13 missions.
Gameplay encompasses various aspects of life in Night City. Participants will combat criminals, explore the dark alleys of the metropolis, operate heavy machinery, and gather intel. During their adventures, players will also encounter Adam Smasher, one of the key antagonists from the original game.
"Cyberpunk 2077 — The Board Game" supports both solo and cooperative gameplay for up to four players. The average duration of a single session ranges from 60 to 90 minutes.
To develop the tabletop version, CD Projekt RED collaborated with Go On Board. The partners have launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Gamefound platform.
As of the time of this writing, over $824,488 has already been invested in the board game. This amount is eight times the initial fundraising goal of $100,000.
The standard edition of the game is priced at $79. The release date is still unknown.
