Following a brief teaser at the start of the year, Sony has finally unveiled more details about the game Alien: Rogue Incursion, introducing a new trailer and release date.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is a new single-player action-horror game that offers an original story, immersing players in the terrifying universe of Alien through virtual reality. Initially, the game's release was scheduled for PSVR2 during the winter holidays, but now the team has announced the exact date. So, Alien: Rogue Incursion will launch on PSVR2 and PC VR on December 19 of this year.
Meanwhile, T.Q. Jefferson, the Chief Product Officer at Survios, shared a new narrative trailer that "delves deeper into the story of the main character Zula on the planet LV-354, also known as Purdan."
Jefferson described the trailer as structured in a three-act format with a "grand finale." To maintain the intrigue, details about the finale are kept under wraps — it's better to check out the new trailer yourself.
Regarding the third act, Jefferson noted:
"Until this point, we have shown that danger is everywhere, but now we want to give players the means to fight."
In the game, Zula will be able to use weapons such as the M41 pulse rifle prototype and equipment like a plasma cutter. According to Jefferson, this will allow players to experience the Alien universe "like never before."
"You will finally be able to feel what it’s like to enter the world of the films, especially Aliens, and immerse yourself in an experience so realistic and emotional that it will change your perceptions forever," the developer stated, adding that the game is already complete.
