The Zack Snyder's film debuted with the worst ratings of the director's career and "outperformed" the previous film of the franchise. Now "Rebel Moon: Part 2 - The Scargiver" has received only 18% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 47% audience approval. The first film, "Child of Fire," currently has 21% / 57% respectively. Critics particularly note the boring, empty plot that does not "hook" at all, the stretched nature of the film, and the lack of originality in literally every detail.

"Scars only remain on those who spend four hours on these films," - Robert Koehne, Flickering Myth.

"There is no doubt that Snyder created an interesting world - he just forgot to tell an interesting story in it" - Jan Sandwell,

"We were given hundreds of details about this distant galaxy, but there is no reason to care about any of them," - Robbie Collin, Daily Telegraph.

"The one that leaves scars" by Zack Snyder is a humiliating addition to the science fiction genre, Netflix and the memories of its viewers," - Charlotte Simmons, We Got This Covered

"Nonsense, a mashup of fakes," - Amy Nicholson, New York Times.

"Barely justifies its existence on a fundamental level," - Rodrigo Perez, The Playlist.

"There was no real development of the story. It feels like we are in the same place as we were after Part 1, only now the body count is higher," - Tessa Smith, Mama's Geeky.

"Another unpleasant experience. It's clear that there's great VFX here, stunning action, a cool world and characters... but all of this is hindered by a bad film, terrible pacing, and a story that simply doesn't interest me," - Zach Pope, Zach Pope Reviews.

"Unfortunately, the characters and dialogues remain clumsy, which should come as no surprise given how unoriginal almost every element is, down to the robot voiced by Anthony Hopkins," - Brian Lowry, CNN.

"Combine 'Part One' and 'Part Two' and it becomes clear that Rebel Moon is a four-hour film that could have been told in two hours. It's not something 'epic' - just stretched out," - Owen Gleiberman, Variety.

"No time? Just skip to the second hour," - Jeffrey Lyles, Lyles' Movie Files.

"Rebel Moon Part 1 was a two-hour trailer for its sequel. Rebel Moon: Part Two: The Scargiver is a two-hour trailer for the third film in this supposedly six-film franchise. And, honestly, it sounds exhausting," - Pramit Chatterjee, Digital Mafia Talkies.
