Additionally, Musk was once among the top players in Quake.
Elon Musk, the tech billionaire and CEO of X, is a well-known fan of Diablo 4. He doesn't shy away from tackling the toughest challenges in the game, such as the dungeon The Artificer's Pit.
During the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Musk delved into his gaming hobby and impressed Rogan with his skills. In the discussion, Musk revealed that he ranks among the top 20 players in the world for Diablo 4. On the site Helltides.com, which features a player ranking compiled by the community, Elon Musk can be found in 19th place with a time of 2:45. Despite his busy schedule, the CEO manages to find time for serious grinding in the game.
“Among Americans, only two have made it into the top 20, and I am one of them,” Musk explained. He also spoke about the benefits of gaming as a hobby and confessed that playing games on “extreme difficulties” has a “calming effect” on him.
Musk shared a video of his record run in The Artificer's Pit on social media platform X (Twitter) as proof of his achievement. He initially posted it through his gaming account under the username cyb3rgam3r420. It’s worth noting that Musk utilizes the Quill Volley Spiritborn build, which can deal hundreds of trillions in damage due to an unresolved bug.
Later in the episode, Musk reminisced about Quake and mentioned that during his college years, he was “one of the best players in the country.” Rogan himself admitted that he was also obsessed with Quake and even built his own computer to play it.
