According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple is developing a new "affordable" 11th generation iPad, which is expected to launch in spring 2025.
The model will feature the same design as the current version but will offer a "speed boost." The price of the existing "budget" iPad starts at $350, and it’s anticipated that the new model will be priced similarly.
In recent months, Apple has been focused on refreshing its entire iPad lineup, starting with the new iPad Pro featuring the M4 chip, the iPad Air with a 12.9-inch display, and the recently launched iPad mini with Apple Pencil support. The new mini model received minimal updates compared to its predecessor, mainly the Apple A17 Pro chip, which enables the tablet to utilize Apple Intelligence features.
In addition to the "budget" model, Apple is preparing a new iPad Pro with the M5 chip — according to Gurman, it may launch in late 2025 or early 2026.
As for other devices, new iPhone SE and Apple Watch models are expected in early 2025, while the company is likely to unveil new Macs today, including a 24-inch iMac with an entry-level M4 chip, two versions of an updated Mac mini (with a base chip and M4 Pro), and a new 16-inch MacBook Pro M4.
