Valve has published the most popular games on Steam Deck for the year (from March 2023 to March 2024) alongside the annual spring sale on Steam - Baldur's Gate 3, a blockbuster and critically acclaimed game from the Belgian studio Larian Studios, topped the top 100 list.

The top three also included Vampire Survivors and Dave the Diver, while the beloved Hogwarts Legacy, the best-selling release of 2023, took the fourth position in the ranking. All are currently offered at a discount.

Rounding out the top five most popular games on Steam Deck is the fantasy RPG Elden Ring from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, which will receive a major story expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, in a few months. The viral survival game Palworld about "Pokémon" with machine guns and one of the hits of early 2024 - made it to the sixth place. While waiting for GTA 6, the previous installment of the famous criminal action series continues to hold its position at the top (by the way, as of December 31, 2023, the total sales of the GTA series exceeded 420 million copies, with more than 195 million attributed to GTA 5).

Regarding the ranking, Valve selected games based on the highest daily player count regardless of compatibility with Steam Deck. The full list of 100 games is available on Steam. What games do you play the most on Steam Deck? Share your own top picks in the comments.

Steam Deck - a portable PC that made it

Valve released the portable PC Steam Deck on February 25, 2022, starting at $399, and in November 2023, an updated model was released starting at $549 - featuring a 7.4-inch OLED display (90 Hz, up to 1000 nits in HDR), 6nm AMD Zen 2 APU, Wi-Fi 6E, and an additional battery (with battery life from 3 to 12 hours).

In less than two years, Valve sold "several million" Steam Deck units, after which ASUS, MSI, Lenovo, among others, released their own portable PCs.

Steam Deck 2 is in Valve's plans, but the next two to three years should not expect a new generation.
