The website Insider Gaming confirms from its own sources that the specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro, which leaked earlier on the internet through the YouTube channel Moore's Law is Dead, are a real leak, despite the channel's criticism, and the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro is aimed for the Christmas holidays of 2024.
Anonymous sources of Insider Gaming can confirm that the leak is happening from the PlayStation developers portal. Documentation was distributed to a large number of third-party developers this week.
It was previously known that the PS5 Pro has the codename Trinity and will be focused on better and stable FPS at 4K resolution, will have a new "performance mode" for 8K resolution and accelerated ray tracing. It was also reported that the Trinity video processor will have 30 graphics blocks and a memory bandwidth of 18000 MTS.
So, the new twist is confirmed:
- 45% faster rendering compared to the PS5
- 2-3 times faster ray tracing (x4 in specific cases)
- Performance of 33.5 Terflops.
- PSSR scaling technology (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling)
- Support for up to 8K resolution in the future SDK version up to 8K resolution
- Own machine learning architecture
- Accelerator of artificial intelligence supporting 300 Tops 8-bit calculations and 67 Tflops 16-bit floating point calculations.
The website Insider Gaming, which was granted access to the documentation from the developers portal on the condition that it will not become public, can confirm that developer kits will be available to close circle studios from September 2023, third parties from January 2024 or from spring 2024. Later, test kits identical to the final product will be provided.
