On October 21, 2024, Paul Di'Anno passed away, whose voice can be heard on the albums by Iron Maiden and Killers.

According to a statement from his label, Conquest Music, on behalf of the Di'Anno family, he died at the age of 66 due to an undisclosed reason. However, it is known that the vocalist had been battling illness for several years.

Paul Di'Anno was the frontman of Iron Maiden from 1978 to 1981 and sang on the band's self-titled debut album as well as the iconic follow-up, "Killers." He was replaced by Bruce Dickinson, who remains the vocalist today, despite a significant hiatus and a solo career.

In the subsequent years, Di'Anno led the bands Battlezone and Killers and released several solo albums. In recent years, he faced health challenges but managed to perform over 100 concerts since 2023, according to the label's statement.

Di'Anno's performances feature hits like "Running Free," "Sanctuary," and others. Paul denied the well-known reasons for his departure from the band, which were rumored to involve disputes with founder Steve Harris and manager Rod Smallwood about dissatisfaction with the vocalist's performances.

The first two albums of Iron Maiden can be considered classics not only in heavy metal but also in rock as a whole.
