The programmers at GSC Game World, who worked on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and "Cossacks" games, have participated in the development of a guided munition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Founder of the company, Sergey Grygorovych, showcased a prototype of the development during an interview on Vladimir Zolkin's channel:

“I thought about what to bring you, and I took a guided bomb created by the programmers of 'Cossacks' and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. This is a prototype that has already undergone a significant amount of testing—over a hundred.”

Grygorovych stated that this bomb is designed for large drones, like the "Vampir" (which can carry up to four such munitions simultaneously), flying at an altitude of 500-600 meters, thereby mitigating the effects of standard electronic warfare.

“It flies calmly, identifies the target, and locks onto it. It is equipped with a large optics that transmits information about the target to a more affordable system. The munition then engages the target using guided navigation based on the visual feed,” — explains Grygorovych. “Even with a deviation of about 50 meters due to wind or if the target is moving at a speed of 80 km/h, it can reach speeds of 200 km/h. There is a camera at the nose, and the tail servos operate very efficiently after two hundred meters to correct the flight path. Thus, the bomb hits the target accurately.”

According to the GSC Game World founder, the bomb also features a cumulative warhead capable of penetrating Russian tank armor "through and through":

“It creates two exact holes: entry and exit. And everything inside burns.”

Additionally, Grygorovych noted in the same interview that he promised to gift his Rolls-Royce to anyone who destroys a Russian frigate that "disgraces his surname," and confirmed the release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, stating that "there are only a few bugs left in the game, and it is no longer embarrassing to release it."

The release of "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl" is scheduled for November 20, with the game launching on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S, and it will also be available immediately on Game Pass.
