Full specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro gaming console from Sony have surfaced online. The next generation of PS5 will feature an 8-core Zen 2 processor, a more powerful graphics card, and additional enhancements.
The PS5 Pro specifications were shared by a user on the social media platform X (Twitter) named brunno_fast. He claims to already have access to the console prior to its official release.
According to the published information, the PlayStation 5 Pro will have the following specifications:
- Processor: 8-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 with 16 threads
- Graphics Processor: unspecified RDNA GPU with 16.7 TFLOPS
- RAM: 16 GB GDDR6 + 2 GB DDR5
- Power Supply: 390 W
- Storage: 2 TB SSD
Compared to the original PlayStation 5, the new PS5 Pro model has the following improvements:
- Graphics power increased from 10 to 16.7 TFLOPS
- SSD capacity increased from 825 GB to 2 TB
- Added 2 GB of DDR5 RAM
- WiFi 7 support
- One USB-A port replaced with USB-C
- Maximum power supply increased from 350 to 390 W
According to Sony, the new hardware will enable the PlayStation 5 Pro to perform rendering 45% faster than the original PS5. Additionally, improvements in ray tracing are claimed to be 2-3 times better. Moreover, Sony announced the PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution Upscaling) technology, which will enhance resolution and graphic quality in compatible games.
A Portuguese console repair workshop also released a YouTube video detailing the disassembly of the PS5 Pro. The internal structure of the device resembles the PlayStation 5 Slim model but features a modified panel attachment mechanism.
The PlayStation 5 Pro will be available for purchase starting November 7.
