Apple announced a "special event" for May 7 - expect new iPad Pro with OLED screen and 12.9-inch iPad Air

Apple has started sending invitations to the media representatives for a "special event" featuring an image of the Apple Pencil, hinting at the presentation of new iPads - specifically the iPad Pro with OLED and the 12.9-inch iPad Air.

The online event will take place on May 7 at 7:00 Pacific Time (18:00 in Kyiv).

Rumors suggest that the iPad Pro will receive some of the most significant improvements since the major overhaul of the M1 in 2021, including an OLED display (slightly larger at 13 inches for the larger model), an updated M3 chip, and a long-awaited horizontal movement of the front camera. There may also be a new Apple Pencil and a revamped Magic Keyboard with an aluminum body and a larger trackpad.

It is likely that we will also see updated iPad Air with a larger size - 12.9 inches. According to a recent report by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, stocks of current iPad Air models in Apple's retail stores are decreasing - a good indicator that an updated model is on the horizon.
