The presentation of the Google Pixel 8a smartphone is expected during Google I/O 2024 on May 14th. Renderings of the smartphone and its specifications are already available online, and now a video has appeared.
In the video, you can see the back of the smartphone along with the packaging and accessories. Compared to previous Pixel models, the accessories for the Pixel 8a have not changed and include a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB-A to USB-C adapter, and a SIM card ejector tool. The phones can be seen in Mint and Bay colors.
It is expected that the phone will receive the Tensor G3 processor, which will work in combination with 8GB of RAM. According to unofficial information, Google may switch from a 120Hz display with a brightness of up to 1400 nits for the Pixel 8a. The smartphone is expected to receive Android 14 and possibly new camera features that have appeared in the Pixel 8 series.
Unofficially, it is known that the Pixel 8a will be more expensive than its predecessor. The Pixel 7a costs $499, while the Pixel 8a may cost around $618. This refers to the minimum configuration version, phones with more memory will be more expensive.
