The director of "Furiosa: Mad Max Saga," George Miller, expressed his desire for Hideo Kojima to create a game based on the franchise, but he "would never ask him" to do it. In an interview with GamingBible, Miller was asked if he wanted a new video game for "Mad Max."
The director remembered the Mad Max game by Avalanche from 2015, which was released shortly after "Fury Road," but stated that it "wasn't as good as we wanted it to be - it was not in our hands."

"I'm one of those people who would prefer not to do anything unless you're going to do it at the very highest level. But I just spoke to Kojima, who came from Japan. If he took it on ... but he has so many fantastic things in his head, so I would never ask him. But if someone like that takes it on, because I can't do it" - says Miller.
The Mad Max game from 2015 mentioned by Miller was released on September 1st, the same day as Kojima's latest game Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. It was probably not the best marketing decision by Avalanche, and although it didn't start off too well, it managed to create a fan base and become cult favorite.
Miller's movie "Furiosa: Mad Max Saga" will be released tomorrow, May 24th, Friday.
