Mercedes-Benz has updated its electric SUV EQS of the 2024 model year, equipping it with a battery of greater capacity, which also allowed to increase the range on a single battery charge.

The 2023 version of the Mercedes-Benz EQS had a battery pack with a capacity of 108.4 kWh. The updated model has received a battery with a capacity of 118 kWh. Now, the rear-wheel-drive version EQS 450+ demonstrates a range estimated by the EPA at 546 km. The all-wheel-drive versions 450 4Matic and 580 4Matic are claimed to have a range of 531 km. The luxury version Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 4Matic is capable of traveling 517 km. Interestingly, the 450+ model has seen a smaller increase in range due to the switch from 20-inch wheels to 21-inch wheels.

At the same time, it is worth noting that energy consumption has slightly increased in all versions. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ SUV has an efficiency of 4.18 km/kWh, while the all-wheel-drive models have 4.02 km/kWh. For the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 4Matic version, this figure is 3.86 km/kWh.

The starting recommended retail price of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 2024 remained unchanged at $104,400 for the base version and $107,400 for the all-wheel-drive version. The EQS 580 4Matic version has increased in price by $1,400 and now stands at $127,350. Currently, there is no information on the price of the updated Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 4Matic version, as the website still lists the configuration with the previous battery and a price of $179,900.
