During what may have been one of the first direct collisions of the Tesla Cybertruck with another passenger car, the pickup demonstrated that it is indeed very strong. Unlike the heavily dented Toyota Camry. The sedan recklessly attempted to turn left, towards the oncoming Cybertruck, and paid the price for it.
During the incident, the Tesla pickup barely scratched the bumper and remained practically undamaged. The Camry suffered extensive damage, despite the relatively low speed of both vehicles. No one was injured in the accident, however, it is unclear how extensive the repairs to the Toyota will be.
At one point, the Cybertruck performed well in crash tests. Before its release, Elon Musk boasted that it could be the safest truck. Tesla claims that the collision is also safer for pedestrians due to the shape of the hood, although it is difficult to speak about safety when a three-ton steel giant is rushing towards you.
Despite all the words, the danger that the Tesla Cybertruck and Toyota Camry collided at low speed - the pickup was almost unharmed, while the sedan was heavily dented for pedestrians and other road users, which stems from its sharp body, is the reason why it is not sold in Europe. Recently Elon Musk hinted that Tesla will have to change the design of the Cybertruck to something "worse" in order to enter the European market next year. It is unclear whether this will only mean rounding the corners or a larger redesign of the body.
