Elon Musk posted a video of an impromptu test of the Tesla Cybertruck body for strength. During the test, the pickup truck was hit with heavy tools, attempted to set on fire, heavy objects were thrown at it, sawed, and even shot at. All of these attempts, including the last one, left minimal damage on the Cybertruck's steel surface.
It seems that the representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine are interested in the durability of the vehicle. The official NGU account on X Twitter asked under the video if the Cybertruck would withstand shrapnel from a 120-mm mortar.
Will it withstand 120-mm mortar shrapnel? 🤔

Aside from jokes, powerful pickups and SUVs are extremely necessary on the frontlines of the Russian-Ukrainian war. And even such an exotic and expensive vehicle could be useful—it would be the most expensive piece of equipment on the frontlines. However, due to the electric motor and other smart systems, the vehicle may prove impractical in extreme conditions.
Recently, the Tesla Cybertruck barely scratched its bumper in a collision with a Toyota Camry—while the sedan's hood folded like an accordion. The owner of the electric pickup truck was less fortunate, as they had issues with control and crashed into a neighbor's house—resulting in $30,000 worth of damage to the Cybertruck. Control issues, unfortunately, sometimes occurred with the steel electric monster due to mechanical peculiarities, such as the accelerator design, but Tesla is working to address these malfunctions. Doubts are also raised about the quality of the body material—reports suggest spots of rust appearing on the body surface.
