Samsung has quietly unveiled the budget-friendly Galaxy A16 5G. The smartphone appeared on the company's official websites in France and the Netherlands.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G will offer two processor options: Exynos 1330 and Dimensity 6300. The device features 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and supports expanding memory up to 1 TB. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, and Samsung promises 6 years of Android and security updates.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.7″ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. It has a triple main camera setup with a 50 MP (main, wide-angle) sensor, a 5 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro lens, along with a 13 MP wide-angle camera for selfies.
A 5000 mAh battery provides long-lasting power and supports 25 W wired fast charging. Additional features include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual-band support, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC (depending on the market), USB type-C 2.0, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G has a thickness of 7.9 mm and weighs 200 g.
It is available in light green, bluish-black, and silver colors. In France, the smartphone model is priced at €249.
