A video blogger specializing in device disassembly has created a transparent back for the Apple iPhone 16 Pro. The video showcases the entire process.

Gallium has recently become a "trendy" material in devices due to its electrical properties, especially being used in chargers. Its exotic nature has made it popular among tech bloggers on YouTube. The Phone Repair Guru channel utilized this metal to remove the aluminum coating from the iPhone 16 Pro's back panel.

In fact, using gallium is just one step in a lengthy process of removing "unnecessary" elements from the smartphone's rear. This is also the most visually striking part. The liquid metal appears to have dissolved the aluminum component of the iPhone panel, although it's more accurate to say that both metals formed a weak amalgam. The YouTuber effectively demonstrated the result when he separated an untreated piece of aluminum next to a liquid spot.

The expert was also able to remove the wireless charging coil from the iPhone 16 Pro using a MagSafe accessory, although it proved somewhat resistant. Subsequently, the necessary components were reinstalled, including the coil and camera protection.

In the end, the enthusiast achieved a transparent back panel that showcases the updated battery with a metallic casing and other internal elements of the iPhone. Interestingly, the Pro Max model’s battery is not as shiny. Despite the video running nearly 12 minutes long, the work is quite meticulous and requires professional skills.
