The French edition Dealabs has revealed data on European prices for four upcoming smartphones in the Pixel 9 series: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Similar to recent Samsung foldable devices, the new Google smartphones are getting more expensive compared to the Pixel 8 counterparts.
According to the leak, the base price of the Pixel 9 starts at €899 for the 128 GB version and €999 for the 256 GB model. It is reported that the available colors are Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo (presumably pink), and Mojito (presumably green).
It is expected that the Pixel 9 Pro model will have the same size as the base version, but will receive additional cameras. The price will start from €1099 for the 128 GB version, €1199 for 256 GB, and €1329 for 512 GB. The top versions will be limited to Obsidian and Hazel colors, while models with smaller storage capacities will also have Porcelain and Cosmo color options.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL will succeed the Pixel 8 Pro in terms of size and will have different specifications, similar to the Pixel 9 Pro. Prices start from €1199 for the 128 GB configuration, €1299 for 256 GB, €1429 for 512 GB, and €1689 for 1 TB. The color options are even more complex: the 1 TB model is exclusive to Obsidian, models with 128 GB and 512 GB are also available in Porcelain and Hazel colors, and the 256 GB variant is unique to Pink.
Finally, it is expected that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the successor to the original Pixel Fold, will cost €1899 for the 256 GB version and €2029 for the 512 GB version. Color options are limited to Obsidian and Porcelain.
Therefore, if the leak is accurate, it indicates a trend of rising prices for most models in the Pixel 9 series compared to their predecessors in the Pixel 8 lineup.
