Apple Watch SE is credited with a plastic case, more colors, and kid-friendly features

Year after year, Apple sells its Apple Watch to consumers in a design that remains largely unchanged. However, this may soon change. Rumors suggest that the Cupertino-based company is planning to release a plastic version of the Apple Watch SE.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg stated that Apple is using plastic to make the watch “more child-friendly,” adding that this could “provide a better selection of colors.” This could become one of the most exciting updates for the Apple Watch in recent years.

Typically, Apple offers its smartwatches in a limited color range. Users can choose from black, silver, silver-yellow, and pink options. Product Red is the only choice for those seeking a bolder hue.

At the same time, other Apple devices feature a broader array of colors, such as green, purple, blue, and sky blue iPhones. iMacs are also available in vibrant colors. Now, the Apple Watch SE is likely to provide users with a wider range of colors and casing shades as well. Given the focus on a younger audience, bright colors can be expected.

There is currently no information on the specifications and features of the upcoming “more child-friendly” Apple Watch SE.
