There is about a week left until the next major presentation by Google. Thanks to numerous leaks, we already know quite a bit about the upcoming Pixel 9 smartphone series. Now, a recently released promotional video has revealed details about the Pixel Watch 3 smartwatches.
It has been confirmed that the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm. Contrary to previous expectations, the Pixel Watch 3 XL branding will not be used for the 45 mm size. The video confirms that the design will not see significant changes, apart from the smaller bezels, especially for the 45 mm variant, which is expected to feature a display nearly twice as large as its predecessor. Both sizes will come equipped with an Actua display and peak brightness of up to 2000 nits, ensuring a clearer and higher-quality image.
In addition to confirming the size and some hardware updates, the video showcases several new features. For example, Cardio Load will help monitor cardiovascular load during exercise. It will offer real-time advice on running and other health and fitness activities. Additionally, the smartwatches will have viewing capabilities for cameras, doorbells, and access to offline maps.
The Pixel Watch 3 will feature a battery that lasts a whole day, and its charging speed will be 20% faster than that of its predecessor. The smartwatch will support a power-saving mode that provides 36 hours of battery life. Ultra Wideband support is also expected to be implemented.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 will be unveiled on August 13 during the Made by Google event.
