After several weeks of beta testing, the new Opera browser with built-in artificial intelligence is now available to all iOS users.
Opera One mirrors the minimalist interface of the desktop version and "automatically removes unnecessary elements" to minimize distractions while browsing. For instance, while scrolling, Opera One hides the top and bottom panels for a full-screen experience.
The search bar is positioned at the bottom of the interface for easier access and includes integration with the Aria AI assistant. A new gesture is also available that allows users to reveal the panel with a simple swipe down (similar to how users search for apps on the iPhone home screen via Spotlight).
According to Opera, the AI assistant Aria can perform a wide variety of tasks: from finding specific queries on the web (the chatbot can be controlled via voice) to writing text and generating images using Google’s Imagen2 model.
The homepage, meanwhile, integrates news and product tips. The browser also includes a built-in ad blocker, a free VPN, and various options for theme customization.
Opera One for iOS launches just over a year after its debut on desktop, and the browser is now available for free download from the App Store.
