GSC Game World has announced a new release date for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The game will now launch on November 20, 2024, instead of the previously scheduled date of September 5, 2024. The additional time is necessary for developers to fix bugs and polish the gameplay.
“We know you are probably tired of waiting, and we sincerely appreciate your patience. These extra two months will allow us to address more 'unexpected anomalies' (or simply 'bugs,' as you call them). We are always grateful for your continued support and understanding—it means a lot to us. We are as eager as you are to finally release the game and let you experience it for yourselves,” said Yevhen Hryhorovych, the game director of GSC Game World.
To sweeten the news, the developers have announced the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive event, during which the team will share the most extensive information about the game. On August 12, fans will be able to see a variety of previously unavailable content, including:
- Interviews and behind-the-scenes development processes;
- A lot of new footage, including world overviews, various locations, gameplay, and trailers;
- A complete walkthrough video of one of the storyline quests.
As part of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Developer Deep Dive, developers aim to give fans a comprehensive understanding of what S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is like and how it looks. More details will be provided soon.
