The flagship Xiaomi 15 Pro will be the senior model in the new series, awaiting the later release of the Ultra version, as is customary. It features the Snapdragon 8 Elite, three 50 MP cameras, and a 6100 mAh battery.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro boasts a 6.73″ OLED display with a resolution of 3200×1440. The M9 display from TCL CSOT reduces power consumption by 24% compared to the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The display supports an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz. The touch sampling rate is 300 Hz, and the instantaneous rate goes up to 2560 Hz, making the screen extremely responsive. It has a peak brightness of 3200 nits and is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0.
The smartphone is equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, providing high data transfer speeds. The winged cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 4053 mm² and the Xiaomi HyperCore microarchitecture scheduler enhance the performance of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The smartphone features three Leica cameras: a 50 MP main camera (Sony LYT900, 1/1.3″, f/1.44 aperture, OIS), a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (Samsung S5KJN1, f/2.2), and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX858, OIS). The latter offers 5x optical zoom and 10x lossless digital zoom, as well as an UltraZOOM-20X mode for capturing more details. Clarity is enhanced by Xiaomi's ultra-transparent ALD coating and specially tuned Leica optics designed for improved image sharpness. The front camera is 32 MP with an OmniVision OV32B4 sensor.
The 6100 mAh battery has an energy density of 850 Wh/L and retains 80% of its capacity after 1600 cycles. It supports wired fast charging at 90 W and wireless charging up to 50 W. The Xiaomi Surge P3 and G1 chips enhance charging efficiency and battery life.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro features a Goodix Technology ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, support for Wi-Fi 7, stereo speakers, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps). It is available in three colors: Spruce Green, Rock Grey, and White, with an additional Bright Silver version. The starting price is approximately $742 for the 12 GB / 256 GB variant. The 16 GB / 512 GB model costs around $812, while the 16 GB / 1 TB version is about $910, with an extra approximately $28 for the Bright Silver edition.
